What’s In My Baby Bag?

YAY!!! The post you’ve all been asking me for is finally here! I get asked all the time “What’s In My Baby Bag?” and how do I pack for 2 little ones and so here it is!

Guys I am honestly an “OVER PACKER”.  I am not at all organized or anything.  I don’t want you to think I’m a slob because I’m not but I guess I’m just not SUPER organized. When I first had Jaiden I worked so I didn’t really have to pack a bag for him.  I always just had extra stuff in my moms house since she watched him there.  Fast forward to me having MJ and being a Stay-At-Home-Mom, I had a lot to learn.  I remember clearly Hommy & I taking MJ out with us (for the FIRST time) to the mall to buy a baby bag and I had just a little tote with me. I took a bottle, formula and diapers with me and that was ALL. MJ pooped all over the place and we had to take her into the mall with just a diaper on!  I was mortified! Why did I not think to pack an extra outfit with me? But that was then and I can honestly say I’m worn in like a glove with the whole baby bag packing thing!

THE BABY BAG

First things first the baby bag you choose is super important! For Jaiden my BFF got me a Velour Juicy Couture one and I was so afraid it’ll get dirty that I barely ever used it.  You definitely want something washable and something that matches your lifestyle.  Now that I think of it I was crazy to let her get me a bag that I’d be afraid to use.  That’s why I was super excited when Citi Babies gifted me the absolute gorgeous Citi Explorer bag (in Black)!  In my opinion it’s just perfect! And best of all if it does get dirty all I have to do is wipe it down!

I love that its long and sturdy which means I can stack up lots of stuff and it won’t become all slouchy.  No one wants a slouchy bag.  It has tons of pockets too!  My last baby bag had pockets but they were too small to fit the baby’s bottles, BUMMER. The pockets in this bag are big! And just look at it! How chic and modern looking is this bag?  Even my hubby can rock it!

In the pic above the bag is fully packed with what I need and look at how much space is left over! Now onto what I actually keep inside!

Ok so I’m sure like most moms out there, we pack accordingly to where we are headed to.  But this is literally what I’d pack to either run an errand or to an all day outing like ORLANDO.

What’s In My Baby Bag?:

1. Diapers & Wipes (can’t leave home without them!) – I normally take about 5 Diapers for Jayla and 2 or 3 for MJ and a big pack of wipes.  Nope I don’t care for the little wipes holder because they literally hold like 3 wipes!! I use wipes for EVERYTHING so I need a big pack while I’m out.
2. Bottles – My absolute favorite bottles are COMOTOMO .  I kid you not, my husband doesn’t really care for anything and even he thinks these are the best bottles ever made! If I’m running an errand I’ll pack 2 if I’m going somewhere further then I’ll pack 4. I do also prefill them with water so that I don’t have to carry water bottles with me.
3. Formula- I take the whole can with me.  I used to have the little dispenser but since we are always out and about and we don’t ever fully know where the day will take us, I take the whole can with me.
4. Juice Bottle & Snack Container – I have mentioned RE-PLAY Recycled products in the past.  The juice bottle is seriously NO-SPILL which is perfect for MJ and the little snack container helps me store either fruit or goldfish crackers for MJ.
5. Extra Clothes – I think I learned my lesson with this years ago lol so I always pack an extra outfit now.
6. Muslim Blanket – Jayla needs a blanket to fall asleep.  She will cry and cry and cry if she doesn’t have one.  The Muslim Blankets are my favorite because they are thin.
7. Bandana Bib – This bib is from My Everything Baby Shop and it’s the cutest!  (as you can tell I’m all for black, white and touches of pink colors)
8. Baby Things Tiny Canvas Bag – I don’t like to have all the little things all over the place so I got this little canvas bag to hold everything together. In the little bag I keep a nail clipper, lotion, a pair of socks, diaper rash creme, a little toy, a super cute bow from  Sweet Monster Bows  and my new favorite teething necklace from Plum Dilly

And that is all that I carry! Simple and not too much or too little.  I hope you guys found this post helpful.  You don’t need to carry a bunch of things to be prepared, all you need is the basics!  As always guys :  Thanks For Reading!
