Sweet Baby Girl

Yesterday was a big day for me! My amazing friend Ashley threw me a Baby Shower for my Sweet Baby Girl.

And it was PERFECT!!

Just the fact that she threw it and gathered some of our close friends to be there was absolutely heartwarming.  There was food, games, desserts and of course lots of laughter!  What I anticipated to be just maybe 2 hours ended up being over 6 hours!

We started off the day by eating of course!

There was a little bit of everything, different things for us to choose from and more than enough for 2nds and maybe even thirds!  We then went ahead and played some games.  One which actually stumped me!  We had to name a baby item for each letter of the alphabet…I think I was able to think of 7 items only! What type of mom am I? LOL

After the games we took some photos by the dessert table and the gorgeous backdrop.  A bunch of girls all posing trying to get their better angles is always a blast, am I right?!  I was super worried about my double chin and my sweet friend Myra advised me that if I put my tongue on the roof of my mouth it won’t be noticeable (after her reassuring me that I don’t even have a double chin of course!)..who would have thought right? I believe it actually works also!

The cake, cupcakes and donuts were perfect for dessert.!  I’ve never had pecan cupcakes and they are already my new favorite! We then went on to open gifts!  I must say that if it wasn’t becoming REAL for me before, It definitely slapped me in the face once I sat to open gifts.  The clothes were so tiny I kept telling them I couldn’t believe I was going to have a newborn in my arms in just a few weeks! I was also given sweet notes from each of them for the baby!  I can’t wait to sit in the nursery and read them all.

Of course we couldn’t end the day without our normal heart to heart conversations.  One thing I love about all of our get togethers is that we all feel comfortable with one another to talk about anything.  Yesterday was no different.  We ate, we played, we laughed and we cried (well I cried lol)

The afternoon spent with these amazing friends whom I now consider FAMILY was beautiful.  Ashley went above and beyond with my shower and I will forever be thankful.  As always, thanks for reading!
