4 Items I Should Have Added To My Baby Registry
*this post was sponsored by they following brands, as always all opinions are my own*
This time around I honestly didn’t even want to create a Baby Registry…For starters, I’m not picky about what anyone gets for my baby. I’m super thankful for anything! I also felt like I had saved enough of MJ’s things and I didn’t think I needed much. With the exception of tons of diapers and wipes of course! Well I was wrong because having a newborn and a 2-year-old made me realize I actually needed certain things to keep me sane! I know what you’re thinking : “What could you have possibly NOT needed for MJ that you now need for Jayla?” If you wanna know, keep reading! 😉
- DockATot Deluxe+ – Where do I even start with this???? This is actually something I thought about getting when MJ was a baby but I didn’t. I’m sure if I would have, the bags under my eyes wouldn’t look so permanent! I am not lying when I tell you the minute I placed Jayla in it, even at a few days old, she slept through the whole night. It worked so well with her that I was the one who stood awake just to make sure she was still breathing! It’s seriously that good! Newborns want to feel snug and comfy and this does just that. Its super lightweight so its easy to move around the house instead of a big ‘ol play pen! I like the Pristine White one because I love white but they do have new covers to choose from now! MJ was in my arms all day because she wouldn’t let me put her down, now when she’s being a typical 2-year-old I can just place Jayla in her DockATot and I know she won’t budge! She’s to my left right now, sleeping away, letting me blog! It’s amazing ladies! GO GET IT ! You will NOT be disappointed.
- The Ollie Swaddle – I never successfully “Swaddled” any of my 2 other kids. Like seriously? What is that even?!! I always thought. It never worked for me and it was a hassle! Now I know that I was never successful because I never bought the RIGHT one. I was still hesitant to even try this one out. But before I pulled out my DockATot, and I was exhausted from not getting any sleep, I gave in and tried this one. The material alone sorta changed my mind. It’s so soft! It snugged Jayla and kept her from moving her tiny legs and pulling off her Paci causing her to wake up and well, keep me up along with her. The sleek design of it as well is super neat because it has an opening to make it easier for diaper changes! So no more having to fully un-swaddle! I’ve gifted this to a couple of my friends already and they loveeeeee it! The Ollie, along with the DockATot are for sure going to get any new mamas a good nights sleep! You’re Welcome! 😉
- Lorena Canals Rug – If you follow me on INSTAGRAM you probably know that I took monthly milestone photos of MJ. I basically placed her on her nursery rug and snapped cute photos of her every single month.. It was great until the rug started to lose its NEW-NESS! With tons of tummy time, crawling and going in and out of the room, it was hard to maintain. I eventually had to throw it out because I bought it a discount store and wasnt able to find it again! Fast forward to this pregnancy, one of my friends posted a picture of her living room and I noticed her beautiful rug. I thought to myself “Wow I wonder how she maintains it!” so I asked her. She told me “It’s WASHABLE, I just put it in my washer and it’s as good as NEW!” The rest was HISTORY!!! Like seriously?!!! After going to their site it was hard to keep focused! I kept telling myself “I need a rug for Jayla’s room, NOT for me so keep FOCUSED!” But with all the beautiful rugs they have it was hard! I decided on this gorgeous Hippy Soft Pink one with ZigZags and some Fringe. It’s perfect for her nursery and guess what else? Yup! Her MILESTONE photos! I can rest easy knowing if it gets dirty or anything I can just throw it in my washer!
- Binxy Baby – Man going shopping now with a car seat and a toddler is A MESS!! I tip-off my hat to moms that can run errands with 2 or more little ones! If I’m alone with the girls I can’t really go with the stroller because 1. I can’t push the stroller and a shopping cart at the same time and 2. even if I didn’t need a cart, MJ would not just casually stroll next to me. She will run around like a crazy wind up toy! Jayla’s car seat is a bit bulky, so it doesn’t fit in the big part of the cart. It also doesn’t have the snap section so it doesn’t fit in the part where a toddler would sit. It only fits in a shopping cart that has the car seat attachment and most stores don’t even have those. Shopping was off-limits for a few. I decided to give the shopping cart hammock a try to see if it really works. At first when I opened it and actually looked at it I thought.. “There’s no way I’m putting my tiny baby in there”. This is actually safe for all babies but I just feel like she’s really tiny and she would sink in it. So I figured I’d put it away until she was a bit bigger. My husband pointed out that it can hold the actual car seat! GO HOMMY!!!! I said NO WAY! When this man set it up and put the car seat in the hammock and put MJ in the seat section, I was in shock! When I saw that I actually had space for groceries, I was even more shocked!!! Both girls were securely seated! So if I needed to go with both alone I could totally do it! Thank goodness for this little hammock! So many people saw me at Walmart and stopped to ask me what it was!
Well mamas, this rounds up the 4 items I wish I would have added to my Baby Registry! If you have any questions about any of these please do not hesitate to ask! As always thanks for reading!
